Letter of Recommendation Policy

For those students who are considering requesting a Letter of Recommendation (LoR) from me, please familiarize yourself with the following guidelines, effective from January 2023:

  • They have pursued an M.S. or Ph.D. program under my direct supervision or joint supervision.
  • They have worked on an M.Tech. or B.Tech. project under my direct or joint supervision and have received an "EX" grade for their project.
  • They have been involved in a research project under my supervision, potentially as part of a B.Tech. or M.Tech. project, and this involvement has resulted in at least one joint peer-reviewed publication with me.

Please note that I will not be able to provide a LoR for students who have completed summer, winter, or long-term internships with me unless these internships have led to joint peer-reviewed publications. In such cases, I can provide a Certificate of Internship instead.

Lastly, it is crucial to understand that I do not write LoRs for students for whom I have solely been the assigned instructor for courses.
